History[]

Built in 1956 as a F-101B-50-MC by McDonnell at Saint Louis, Missouri, USA., it was taken on Strength with the United States Air Force.[3] this aircraft flew with Nevada Air National Guard, [4] Converted to a F-101F. Subsequently passed to the National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH. By May 1991, the aircraft had been placed on display with Florence Air and Missile Museum, Florence, SC.

Loaned to City of Charlotte, Charlotte, NC. it was placed on display with Carolinas Aviation Museum, Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, Charlotte, NC. on 28 June 1998.[3]
