History[]

Constructed in 1958 as a HA-1112 by Hispano at Spain, and taken on Strength/Charge with the Ejercito de Aire, serving with Ala 7 and 471 Escuadron,[N 2] before joining Spitfire Productions as G-AWHH,[2] to appear in the movie Battle of Britain as Red 4.[N 3]

On 4 May 1971, the aircraft was passed to Wilson C. Edwards, Big Spring, TX as N6036, and based at Wilson Connie Edwards Ranch, Edwards Lucian Wells Ranch Airport, Big Spring, TX.

On 9 September 1997, it was transfered to unknown owner.

In 1998,[4] it was acquired by Richard Hansen, Batavia Illinois.[5]

In 2015 ownership passed to Boschung Global, with 105 being shipped with three other examples to Airmotive Specialities. Sold to Anglia Aircraft Restorations, and rebuilt by Air Leasing, 105 flew again on 28 June 2018.[2]

In October 2022, it was reported that C.4K-105/G-AWHH has been sold to the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar. Starting in the 2023 season, the Biggin Hill-based Flyaspitfire.com operation intends to use the aircraft to accompany its two-seat Spitfire passenger flights for formation tailchase experiences.[6]
