History[]
Operated by Ala 7 and 471 Escuadron of the EdA (Spanish Air Force) from late 1959, C.4K-152 was struck of charge in October 1965, before being registered to Spitfire Productions as G-AWHR between May 14 and 29 November 1968, for use in the film Battle of Britain.[N 3]
The aircraft later joined the US register as N4109G,[4] becoming one of eight Buchons obtained by Wilson 'Connie' Edwards, as part payment for his work in the film Battle of Britain.
C.4K-152 is historically significant, as it was the last fighter flown by Luftwaffe fighter ace Adolf Galland. Along with three others, C.4K-152 has been shipped to California for restoration to airworthiness.[5] The aircraft was listed as being in storage as of September 2018,[6] returning to flight on1 July 2019.[3]
